How to Use It
- Access Your Video: Log in to your Vidalytics account and select the Smart Vid you wish to edit.
- Navigate to the Tagging Section: Within the video editor, locate the 'Tags' option.

- Set Timed Tags:
- Choose the exact timestamp where you want to place a tag.
-Assign a descriptive name to the tag that reflects the viewer's engagement at that point.

- Save and Implement: After setting all desired timed tags, save your changes. These tags will now activate automatically as viewers reach the specified points in your video.

What’s New?

Period Comparison
feature enables users to compare video performance metrics during two distinct periods for the same video. This is particularly useful for identifying trends, understanding growth, and optimizing content strategies. The feature offers clear visual and numerical comparisons, highlighting differences in key metrics.
How to Use
- Enable Period Comparison:Activate the feature in the Vid Stats page in the Compare menu.
- Select the Periods:Pick the current time frame in the primary period picker (always visible) and the secondary period to compare with from the comparison period picker (visible only when the feature is enabled).
- Analyze Metrics:View the data differences in summary metric cards, on the graphs, heatmaps, and tooltips.
- Hover for Details:Hover over summary cards or graph points to see metrics for both periods and the percentage difference.

The comparison period must occur before the primary period. It defaults to the same duration as the primary period, if possible, and adjusts automatically to fit within the available date range.*Key Benefits

We are excited to announce the release of Advanced Vid Conditions, a powerful feature now available exclusively for Pro+ plan users. With this update, you can effortlessly display different videos to distinct audience segments, ensuring a highly personalized viewing experience. Here's everything you need to know about this groundbreaking functionality.
What's New?
Advanced Vid Conditions introduces several new attributes to segment your audience and deliver customized video content:
- Language:Match the viewer’s browser language settings to play the most relevant video.
- Operating System:Detect the viewer’s OS (e.g., Windows, macOS, Android) to display tailored content.
- URL Parameters:Target specific URL parameters and values, such as campaign identifiers, to show the appropriate video. Example: SHOW video X IF URL parameter = “utm_source=facebook”.
- Video Tag:Trigger video playback based on the viewer’s previous interactions with tagged videos. Example: SHOW video Z IF Video Tag = “watched_30%” from video Y.
These new conditions complement our existing attributes:
- Screen Width: Customize videos based on device screen dimensions.
- Is Returning: Differentiate content for first-time and returning viewers.
How to Enable Vid Conditions
- Navigate to Vid Settings: Open the Embed popup from your Vid Settings.
- Enable/Disable Conditions: Toggle the Vid Conditions feature on or off as needed.
- Configure Conditions: Set up specific playback rules for your videos using the new attributes.

- No Re-Embedding Required:Configure your video conditions directly within the Vid Settings—no need to update embed codes.

Target viewers that have already seen your offer/pitch on your video. With vid conditions for tags you can now know if a recurring viewer has seen your offer. You can show a special offer video with a One Time Offer exclusive for those viewers. Restrictions

Open Link
and Go Back/Replay
new options inside our Smart Vids Feature.Create a more dynamic and engaging experience with new Smart Vid navigation possibilities – direct your viewers to any page and let them go backward or start the Smart Vid over.
🌐 Open Link: Default Action or Choice Selection
Set the default action on your Smart Vid step to open a link once it is over, or set the Open Link action directly in the options provided for the question!
This will make it very easy to redirect your viewers to an external page to complete desired actions, such as purchases or subscriptions 😉
How to Use It:
- Get to the Step Settings for a Smart Vid step.
- Choose Open Link as an action for the Default Action, if you want to direct viewers automatically when the step video is over.
- Or add a question and choose Open Link as an action for any choice inside it. This way viewers will be redirected to the specified link when clicking on that option.
- Set the URL value.
- For the default redirect it’s possible to set up redirect delay and custom message.
- Preview & Publish: see it in action and publish it to apply it to your video.

🔄 General Smart Vid Settings: Go Back/Replay Navigation
Provide the option in the flow of the navigation for each Smart Vid step to either go back a step or start the Smart Vid over from the very beginning.
How to Use It:
- Get to the Controls section in Global Settings for a Smart Vid.
- In the Flow navigation subsection enable Go Back, Replay or both.
- Customize the button text if needed.
- Preview & Publish: see it in action and publish it to apply it to your video.

Timed Exit CTAs! ⏰
We're excited to announce the release of Timed Exit CTAs, a powerful new feature that allows you to display different Exit CTAs at specific moments during video playback.
What's New
With Timed Exit CTAs, you can schedule what CTA will display when a user pauses your video depending on the time at which the pause event happens. This will allow you to change up your CTA after a specific moment in your messaging, to send your viewers to different next steps, depending on how far along they are in your pitch.
How to Use It
- Head over to the Marketing settings on your video.
- Create you CTA as usual. Set the title, link and any placement settings as well.
- There are two options with Exit CTA's. 1. Set to appear anytime the video is muted. 2. Set to appear when the video is muted during a specific interval in the video.
- To set the Timed Exit CTA to appear on a specific interval input the "From" and "To" times for it.
- To turn it on toggle the “Exit CTA” option.
- Save and preview to watch your CTAs change at the times you’ve selected.

Benefits
- Engage your viewers with the right message when they pause at a specific moment.
- Easily schedule multiple Exit CTAs in a single video without manually adjusting anything during playback.
- Perfect for targeting specific moments in your video to drive action or conversions.
- This feature will allow you to trigger the perfect CTA at the precise moment on your video.
Example Use Case
Let's say you have an offer that is shown at a specific time during the video. If someone pauses your video then, your specific CTA will be triggered at the correct time, and you'll be able offer an additional discount on top of the offer.
